WISTERIA HYSTERIA

Wisteria Hysteria
Styling shoot I did for 'PLANES' magazine. We ventured around Notting Hill in search of pastel coloured houses and couldn't believe our luck when we stumbled across this beautiful house covered in lilac wisteria. Pink has been the colour of choice the past couple of seasons with the likes of Simone Rocha, Celine and Burberry sashaying delicate pinks down the catwalk. I wanted to incorporate this trend in a styling shoot; The clothes were from a selection of high street brands including asos, topshop, missguided and zara showing how to get a legally blonde look on a budget. Originally the inspiration had a 60s edge to it looking to icons such as Brigitte Bardot and Audrey Hepburn for a classic ladylike elegance. I worked with Hollie Fernando as the photographer as she works with film cameras which gives the images a soft, hazy quality which I love. Massive thank you to both Hollie and Eleanor Davies from Models 1.
We managed to get the shoot featured in 'Girls on film' zine which can be seen here.

INDIA ROSE INTERVIEW LAYOUT

Working on layouts for my magazine 'PLANES'. To go alongside my final collection at uni I am creating a magazine featuring blogger interviews such as this one with India Rose. I wanted to keep the layout quite clean and minimal to go with India's own aesthetic. To see the interview in full either click on the images above or see the link here IR Interview.

BLOGGER INTERVIEW MODE ROSA

Hi Roos! Where are you from and when did you start fashion blogging?

My name is Roos-Anne and I love in Zwolle a small city in the Netherlands. I started blogging 4 years ago. After looking at other blogs I wanted a blog myself and started with a simple website. Now I’m so lucky that my hobby became my job!

How would you describe your style?

Simple, minimalistic with lots of black and leather.

If you could pick five essential pieces for your wardrobe, what would you pick?

My Balenciaga cut-out-boots, celine trio bag, leather trousers, an oversized coat and a basic shirt.

What do you love about minimalist fashion?

I love simple lines and good fabrics. I would rather pay a bit more for a simple top which is made in a high quality fabric and has an interesting cut than a crazy flower printed shirt that I will only wear once. Fashion comes and goes whereas minimalistic clothes are timeless! And always look amazing in my opinion.

Who are your favourite designers/ recent collections?

I love Alexander Wang. Most of the time it’s simple but always with some kind of edge. If I need new shoes the first place I look is Alexander wang. He makes the best boots!

Who do you look to for fashion inspiration?

I’m forever reading other fashion blogs and I follow lots of people on instagram for my daily inspiration. Lately, pinterest has been my best friend. I can browse it for hours.

What bloggers would you recommend following?

Camtyox, cottds, angelica blick and afterdrk. My daily reads.

You aren’t shy of having an all black outfit, what do you love about this colour?

Black is always good. I can’t describe what I love about this colour, it’s just the way you can combine and layer it. It makes me feel good. I love to play with different textures, that’s why an all black outfit doesn’t have to be boring. Leathers with big knits or luxe fabrics are a great match!

What are your beauty essentials?

Winged eyeliner

Where has been your favourite country you have visited?

Paris. My number one favourite city. Well besides New York, but I’ve never been there so that doesn’t count.

What are you currently adding to your wardrobe wish list?

Still looking for the perfect leather trousers. Impossible to find, or way too expensive!

What music are you rating at the moment?

Beyonce! I love her!

What opportunities has blogging brought you?

I’m one of the lucky girl’s who has made her hobby into her job. I have travelled, met some really great people, been to different fashion weeks, worked with cool brands and finally was able to buy myself that designer bag!
